This is a really great, healthy muffin recipe. I like that it uses a nice blend of fruits plus walnuts. I think raisins could be used in place of pineapples if the latter isn't available. I usually add raisins when I'm making banana bread and it turns out pretty good.

This recipe has no added sugar! All of the sweetness is based on the mashed banana (make sure they are ripe with brown spots), the pineapple, and the applesauce. To really make sure it does not have added sugar, try to use unsweetened applesauce. These are some delicious, healthy muffins! If you are unfamiliar with wheat bran, it can be substituted with rice bran, oat bran, or buck wheat- these options may be easier for you to find!
