Birdseed Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 2 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp golden syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup low-fat milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F, prepare pans. Melt the butter with the honey, golden syrup and cloves until the mixture dissolves; set aside to cool. Mix the flours, seeds and baking powder together. Add the dry mix to the wet mix until just combined. Spoon into pans and bake for 20 mins. Sprinkle tops with sesame or poppy seeds if desired. Makes 12.
