Coricios
Ingredients
- 2 cups maseca (finely ground corn flour)
- 1 cup corn meal
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Warm milk - small amount
Instructions
Sift together the maseca, corn meal, baking soda and salt. Mix separately the shortening, eggs, sugar and vanilla. Mix all together and then a little milk until you can roll out snake like pieces between your palms. Form circles, pretzels, hearts etc with the pieces and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in medium oven (350 degrees F until solid, not crisped or browned).
