Grilled Jalepeno Peppers

Ingredients

  • 24 jalepenos
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 12 strips of bacon (cut in half)

Instructions

Brown sausage on stove until done thoroughly. Cut tops off of peppers and slice down one side. Remove all seeds and wash with cold water. Once sausage is cooled, stuff peppers with the sausage. Take half strip of bacon and wrap around the stuffed pepper. Easiest to turn if put on skewers but can use toothpicks. Grill until bacon is done. Note: Grilling by means of the indirect method is slowest but will prevent big fires due to the grease from bacon and sausage.

this is a good appetizer recipe, but the way we do it is to slice the peppers in half deseed and clean then fill with cream cheese and wrap with bacon then put on skewers and grill them on the low heat side of the grill until the bacon is done.or on rainy days this can be done in the oven but you have to watch them close so you dont burn them.
