Strawberry Delight

This strawberry Jello dessert is like a strawberry shortcake in a pan. Strawberry Delight is a layer of angel food cake topped with a thick layer of strawberry Jello and Cool Whip. If you buy the angel food cake already made, this is a no-bake dessert recipe that is so easy to make you'll want to make it every day. The refreshing taste of light cake and seasonal strawberries makes this the perfect quick and easy summer dessert recipe; but go ahead and enjoy it all year.

Cooking MethodNo Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 packages strawberry Jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries
  • 1 (12-ounce) carton Cool Whip, thawed, thinned with 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 angel food cake

Instructions

  1. In a 13x9-inch pan, tear up angel food cake into approximately 1-inch pieces, spreading evenly in pan.

  2. In a bowl, dissolve Jello in boiling water. Stir in frozen strawberries. Set mixture in refrigerator while preparing whipped topping.

  3. Fold whipped topping with strawberry mixture and pour over cake pieces.

  4. Chill until set; cut and serve immediately.
