Terrific Tex-Mex 7-Layer Dip

Looking for a quick and easy appetizer recipe to serve at your next party? This Tex-Mex 7 Layer Dip, made with fresh avocados and juicy tomatoes, is sure to be a crowd favorite. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make 7 layer dip, this one will take you less than five minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 large cans bean dip
  • 3 avocados, peeled and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • dash garlic salt
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped fine
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced, seeds removed, patted dry on paper towels, and diced
  • 1 small can sliced black olives, drained, patted dry, and chopped
  • 4 to 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Drain water from bean dip and spread on bottom of a rectangular cake dish.
     
  2. Mix avocados, lemon juice and garlic salt well and spread over bean dip.

  3. Mix sour cream and taco mix well and spread over avocado layer.
     
  4. Spread green onions over sour cream layer.
     
  5. Spread tomatoes over onions.
     
  6. Spread olives over tomatoes.
     
  7. Spread cheese over black olives.
