Rum Ginger and Orange Trifle


  • 1 Jamaican ginger cake
  • a little dark rum (to taste)
  • 4 sliced oranges
  • 1 pint custard
  • Half pint whipped cream


Cover the bottom of the dessert dish with sliced ginger cake. Pour the rum over the cake and leave to soak in. Arrange the sliced oranges over the top of this. Pour the custard over the top of the oranges and allow to cool. Finally, add the whipped cream on the top.
