Easy Apple Pie Dumplings are such a treat you almost won't be able to wait until they're done baking to dig in! They're also insanely easy to make because they only use 2 ingredients! This is quite literally the easiest dessert recipe of all time. If you have crescent roll dough and apple pie filling taking up space in your kitchen you're already set. If not, make a quick trip to the store and you'll be on your way to some scrumptious dumplings in no time at all. This is the perfect easy dessert to enjoy after a weeknight meal because it's absolutely no fuss!

Ingredients

  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a 2-quart baking dish. Set aside.

  3. Open dough, and cut into 10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

  4. In a large bowl, combine apple pie filling and dough balls.

  5. Pour into prepared baking dish and gently arrange dough balls to the top of the mixture.

  6. Bake 20-25 minutes or until the dough is lightly browned and the insides are cooked.

  7. Serve warm.

This really has only two ingredients! I love apple pie, and I also will serve it with vanilla ice cream. I will make my family think I have been peeling apples and working so hard to make such a wonderful dessert. Too funny! Thanks for the brilliant use of crescent rolls.

What a wonderfully fast and easy dessert! I agree that this is just begging to be served with a scoop of ice cream or a huge dollop of whipped cream. Peach pie filling would also make for a great variation. I'd like to experiment with rolling some chunks of apple into the dumplings since I think that would make for a nice addition.

Wow...this really is a super easy and effortless treat for any and every occasion. Served Ala mode with some vanilla ice cream for me please! I'm almost betting this would work with any fruit and who doesn't love crescents? And, if you're feeling creative make up several batches with different varieties to switch it up and store them in the freezer for back up.
