Cheesy Bread Pudding

Make your favorite dessert for dinner! This Cheesy Bread Pudding is a fantastic twist on the usual bread pudding recipe and it's for the best. Make this cheesy delight for a surprising tasty treat.

Cooking Time1 hr

Ingredients

  • 2 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Butter a 1-quart baking dish. Layer half the bread cubes in the dish. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat with remaining bread cubes and cheese.
     
  3. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over bread and cheese.Let stand one hour.
     
  4. Place baking dish in a 9" x 13" pan and pour water into pan to a depth of one inch. Place pan in  oven and bake one hour. Pudding should be puffy and golden.
