Hot Dog Baked Beans

Do you have four pounds of baked beans lying around that you don't know what to do with? Make this hearty hot dog baked beans recipe and those cans of baked beans will make a fantastic lunch or dinner perfect for your kids, or the kid in you.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds canned baked beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup light molasses
  • 1/4 cup open pit sauce with onions
  • 1 pound hotdogs, chopped

Instructions

  1. Put beans, onion, onion powder, molasses, ketchup, bbq sauce, sugar and hot dogs in slow cooker; stir gently to mix.
     
  2. Cook on low for about 8 hours. (If sauce is runny, lift cover for last hour or two to let moisture evaporate.)
