Country Barbeque Ribs

Make barbeque the right way with these Country Barbeque Ribs. Slow cooker bbq ribs recipes are always a sweet and savory treat. Place the meat in the slow cooker, add your favorite barbeque sauce and wait for a delectable meal.

Cooking Time: 9 hr

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup prepared hickory-flavored bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup apricot-pineapple jam
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 pounds pork spareribs, trimmed of fat
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together 3/4 cup bbq sauce, the jam, and soy sauce until well blended.
     
  2. Place a layer of the ribs in a 4 quart electric slow cooker. Pour on 1/3 of the sauce mixture.
     
  3. Top with another layer of ribs and half the remaining sauce. Top with the remaining ribs and pour on the remaining sauce. Cover and cook on low 8 1/2 to 9 hours, or until the ribs are tender but not completely falling apart.
     
  4. Remove the ribs to a serving dish. Skim off and discard any fat from the sauce in the slow cooker.
     
  5. Stir in the remaining 3/4 cup bbq sauce. Pass the sauce to spoon over ribs.
