Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 can (16-ounces) whole tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
  • dash pepper
  • 4 slices American cheese, cut into triangles

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except cheese triangles in Crock-Pot.
     
  2. Stir thoroughly to mix ground beef with other ingredients.
     
  3. Place 4 cheese triangles on top.
     
  4. Cover and cook on Low setting for 8 to 10 hours. Before serving, top with remaining 4 cheese triangles.
