I walked into my home after work and was greeted by the most horrible smell. What could it be, I wondered? It was a dinner in the crockpot. I tasted it and immediately called my husband to tell him we were going out. This was the WORST meal I have ever prepared. It is so awful, I can't even describe the horrible taste. I will never do a recipe off this site again. What a waste money.

I'm so very sorry you had a bad experience with this recipe! I can tell you that I have used many recipes from this site, and so far, they have all been wonderful. Please keep trying them, and don't give up after one bad experience.

I hated this dish! I made it according to the directions and it looked just fine until I took it out of crockpot and it was a big gloppy mess of goo! I wasted $25 on food I couldn't eat..very dsappointing!

For Dianne D1...It did show how many the recipe served..right at the beginning.....

I made this this past weekend, my husband loves it. It really serves about 6+. I made garlic bread with it. I will definetly make it again. It's a keeper.

Sounds delicious! Can sour cream & milk be cooked that long? Would it curdle?

I made this and I would say it definitely serves more than 4, more like 6 or 8 depending on how much your family eats. I thought it was pretty good, but I would maybe make some changes next time I made it. I stuck mostly to the recipe and it called for "cooked" rice, but after 6 hours in the slow cooker it pretty much turned to a mashed potato consistency, which I was kind of worried about happening, but still ok. So maybe instead of cooked rice, I would add it uncooked with extra liquid. Also I didn't add the frozen bag of vegetables until around the last hour, which I new would never hold up for 6 hours. All in all it tasted pretty good and was easy to throw together.

It tells the amount it serves as 4. However surely this much food feeds more than 4!

It sounds great, but I really get irritated when the recipe doesn't show how many it serves. I like to divide ingredients when I'm only cooking for 2, and like to know I'll have enough to serve when I'm cooking for 4 - 6.
