Amazing Vanilla Wafers
Vanilla Wafers were my favorite cookie growing up and they still are to this day. This is such a great cookie recipe. It's quick and easy too.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In medium bowl with mixer at low speed, beat all ingredients until blended, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake cookies 10 to 12 minutes until edges of cookies are browned.
- With pancake turner, remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
- Store cookies in tightly covered container to use up within 1 week.
