Home for Christmas Cookies
Home for Christmas Cookies are great roll out sugar cookies for gifting, decorating, and snacking. These Christmas cut out cookies will remind everyone that there's no place like home for the holidays!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup softened margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (or vanilla and almond combination)
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine margarine and sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla and blend well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture and beat until smooth.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out a quarter of the dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into shapes and transfer to parchment-lined cookie sheets.
- Bake 8-10 min, or until edges have slightly browned. Allow to cool completely on cookie sheets.
