Hot Louisiana Chili

This hot Louisiana chili is the recipe for all chili lovers! This ultimate one pot dinner has three kinds of meat, nine kinds of heat, and lots of other flavors to fill the gaps. Forget those other chili recipes...this one packs a punch!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 9 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons cumin
  • 4 tablespoons instant beef bouillon
  • 2 cans beer
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 pounds ground chuck
  • 2 pounds hot pork sausage
  • 1 pound chuck roast, cubed
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried habenero peppers, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup jalapenos, sliced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cans hot chili beans with gravy

Instructions

  1. In a large stock pot, add oregano, paprika, chili powder, cumin, beef bouillon, beer, and water.  Let simmer.
     
  2. Add ground beef, sausage, and chuck roast in batches until all the meat is cooked. 
     
  3. Finally, add onions, garlic, olive oil, peppers, sugar, coriander, hot sauce, jalapenos, tomato sauce, and hot chili beans.  Simmer 3 hours, adding water if necessary.
