Simple Wine Kissed Chicken Breasts

The combination of white wine and apple flavors make this Simple Wine Kissed Chicken Breasts recipe one of the most delicious and unique I've had in a while. Not to mention it's one of the easiest baked chicken recipes you'll find as well.

Suggestion: serve with sugar snap peas and multigrain bread.

Ingredients

  • 5 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups of chardonnay
  • 5 tart apples (macintosh are best)
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)
  • poultry seasoning to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in the wine overnight. Set the chicken in a pan and dust lightly with dill and poultry seasoning.
     
  2. Place chicken in a lightly greased baking pan or casserole dish, pour a little of the wine over the chicken breasts.
     
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  4. Slice the apples and layer over the chicken. Scatter pine nuts over the top (if desired).
     
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear, about 35 minutes.
