Step 5 indicates to add mustard and hot sauce. What mustard and hot sauce? These items are not listed under ingredients. Thanks

I would absolutely love to have this for breakfast. Can't wait to try it tomorrow morning!

IMO, a good Rye Bread with Fennel Seeds would work much better in this recipe.

The ingredients in this recipe sound so much like a Monte Cristo sandwich. I'm thinking though, instead of putting the corn flakes on the top where they just fall off, it might work out better if the bread was soaked in the eggs like French toast and dredged into the cornflakes, (that have been crushed) follow the rest of the recipe as it is, and then top off with a little extra cheese before baking.

This reminds me of some ham and cheese casseroles I've made in the past. I normally use the Hawaiian rolls, but the whole grain bread is a nice choice. I noticed the video shows the dijon mustard and hot sauce, but they're not listed in the ingredients but are mentioned in the instructions. I think I might prefer some stone ground mustard over the dijon. The corn flakes are an interesting touch I wouldn't have thought of.

If I am pressed for time, or have to work late, I love to make quick no - fuss breakfast dishes like this for dinner! It is kind of like a cheesy savory version of a French toast! I love how golden and crunchy the corn flakes get after being toasted in the oven, and they are such a fitting crunchy topping for a breakfast casserole! I like to use them for other types of casseroles as well, since they are nutritious and don't have a lot of fat in them like potato chips.

Such a great, filling breakfast (or brunch) for a lazy family weekend. Like len10pin (below) we also have ours with onion but we put our onions in the dish just for that extra bit of flavor. Preparing the dish the night before and leaving it in the refrigerator overnight makes a huge difference I find that the flavors do not get a chance to combine if prepared just before baking. Our whole family loves it and the children often ask when we will be having it again.

I love this recipe! Quick, easy to make and feeds at least 4 people. It's not expensive. I served mine with onion rings. Delicious!
