This is REALLY good!! I used a 14 oz. can of tomato sauce mixed with the water and added about 7 splashes of worcestershire sauce, we couldn't eat enough of it. I have even shared the recipe at work! Yummy! Will definitely make again!

This was a very hearty and tasty dish. Next time I'll probably add a bit more peas to balance all the beef.

I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this dish! The seasonings worked so well to create a meal I will make again and again.

I was surprised by how much I liked this dish! It was more like a stew than a casserole, but the ground beef combined with the tomato flavor was excellent. The peas added a nice touch, too!

Please recheck Ingredients to make sure you have right ones (20 ounces tomato sauce or is it; mix the tomato soup with the water) which is SAUCE OR SOUP????

Sorry. Should have read the recipe closer. It says 1 cup of water. Not 1 can of water. Since the directions also say to mix the two before pouring it on, it definitely makes more sense to use tomato soup.

I agree with others. I hardly think one would need a can of water with a 20 oz. can of sauce. For one thing, I think it means to use the can of tomato 'whatever' for the can and that would be a total of 40 oz. or so of liquid, which would be entirely too much in my opinion. Maybe my "common sense" got the best of me here but for whatever it's worth. :-)

I have made a similar recipe that is baked in the oven and it calls for Tomato Soup. So I'm sure it is Tomato Soup. Must be a typo on the ingredients.

I am also confused Is it sauce or soup soup makes more sense

Is it tomato sauce or tomato soup?? List of ingredients says sauce, the instructions say tomato soup--which is it???
