Creamy Ground Turkey Taco Casserole

This lightened-up taco casserole recipe tastes too good to be true. Creamy Ground Turkey Taco Casserole uses turkey and fat-free cottage cheese to make it better for you than other recipes for taco casserole, but the flavor is definitely not compromised. A layer of tortilla chips lines the bottom of the casserole, followed by seasoned turkey, onion, pepper and more. It's then finished off with melted cheese. This tastes so good we know you'll be in search of more recipes for ground turkey.

This easy taco casserole is made healthier with the use of ground turkey, instead of the usual ground beef. However, I would make a few changes to this recipe according to my preferences. I would chop the garlic, and use mild picante sauce or mild salsa as a substitute for the taco sauce. I would also use lite sour cream, lite cottage cheese, and reduced fat cheddar cheese.
