  • 1 pound bacon, diced
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cans (16.5-ounce) cream style corn


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a skillet, fry the bacon until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Pour 1/8 to 1/4 cup of the bacon drippings over bread crumbs; set aside. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of remaining drippings.
  4. Saute onion and green pepper until tender. Stir in corn and bacon.
  5. Spoon into a 1 quart baking dish; sprinkle with crumbs.
  6. Bake untli bubbly and heated through, about 20-25 minutes.
