I would like to know what size zucchini is used in this recipe.

You can use medium size zucchini.

So first I cook the meat on the stove, then I use the slow cooker, then I put it in the oven? Seems a little labor intensive for a slow cooker recipe. Isn't the slow cooker supposed to be an easy way of preparing a meal? One where you put it in and then forget it until mealtime? The end result sounds tasty, but ...

If it is a slowcooker recipe, why put it in the oven???

We love this recipe and find it very versatile. I have added mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and green beans and omitted the beef. I did find that the croutons were too much bread for our taste. The stuffing gives it a very good flavor.

Nice make and set timer so I can get more done meal. Thanks!
