Mrs. Claus' Million Dollar Fudge

This rich, pecan-studded fudge is a special holiday treat that Mrs. Claus is known for. Try out this Mrs. Claus' Million Dollar Fudge for holiday gifts this year, or for a treat any time of year. The easy fudge recipe is smooth and soft with a rich chocolaty flavor. Marshmallow cream is added to the chocolate in the fudge to give it an added creamy element. When you taste this chocolate fudge, you'll think it's worth a million dollars.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup marshmallow cream
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Oil jelly roll or 9x9 inch pan. Put chocolate and marshmallow in large bowl and set aside.

  2. Mix sugar, milk, and butter in 3-quart heavy pan, stir to blend. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Wash down sides with pastry brush dipped in cold water. Continue to boil, stirring constantly, without touching sides of the pan for 5 minutes.

  3. Pour sugar mixture over the chocolate/marshmallow mixture, add salt and vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts and fudge is smooth. Stir in nuts.

  4. Spread into oiled pan and mark into squares. When firm cut into pieces and store in an airtight container.
