If you use the type of coconut oil that has the flavor, these Easy Coconut Brownies take on a wonderful, subtle hint of coconutty chocolate. Brownie recipes like this come out soft and tender and make a wonderful dessert for the family.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the sugar, cocoa, butter and coconut oil.

  2. Add eggs, beating thoroughly. Stir in flour and vanilla. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch pan.

  3. Bake for 35 minutes. Cut into squares.

Coconut in a brownie? I think that is taking dessert to the max. I am going to be making these brownies soon because I cannot resist a good coconut dessert. Since you added it to brownies, there is no way I'm going to pass up the chance to make this treat for the whole family.
