When you need to cook breakfast for the whole family and you're not in the mood to cook an individual meal for everyone, try this Sharable Breakfast Pull Apart Bread. This breakfast recipe is easy to cook up all at once and divide up on plates when it's done! Made with refrigerator biscuits, breakfast sausage, butter, garlic and cheese, this is the perfect way to start your morning. Pair this dish with some fresh-cooked eggs and have the orange juice ready for a complete meal you're sure to be asked to make again and again. This is also a wonderful meal to make when company comes over or for a holiday when you're hosting guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 (16-ounce) cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded 4-cheese Mexican blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Cook sausage and onion together in a skillet. Drain well and set aside.

  3. Spray a large baking pan with non-stick spray.

  4. Cut biscuits in half, filling with a small amount of cooked sausage. Pinch edges to seal and roll into a ball. Place in dish, touching. Repeat with remaining dough and sausage.

  5. Meanwhile, add butter and garlic to a small bowl. Melt in the microwave. Brush over all of the sausage and dough balls.

  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over balls. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

What a wonderful winning idea for a quick and tasty breakfast. I'd be tempted to include a bit of cheese with the sausage as the biscuits are being rolled up. There's something about meat and cheese melted together than I find irresistible. Chalk it up to the number of cheeseburgers I've consumed in my life. I need to make this up soon. I might try it with the Johnsonville Chorizo, which is quite good.

My friend made this recipe, but I didn't see how she did it. So when I took a bite, I was surprised to find the sausage. I give this recipe a 10 out of 10!

This would a great breakfast to fix with kids. They love rolling balls. Peppers, along with the onions, cooked in the sausage is great. I do think if you are having a lot of people for breakfast, you should double the recipe. This would feed 3 to 4 people unless you are feeding small children or serving something else besides this.

"Sharable!" Ha! I'm not sharing this with anyone
