Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

This recipe shows you how to make chocolate peanut butter bars. They are a delicious, rich treat for any occasion!


  • 1/2 pound graham crackers (1 pack of a 3-pack box)
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 sticks (16 tablespoons) butter
  • 3 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, light or dark
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In food processor fitted with a steel blade, grind graham crackers into crumbs.
  3. Then add peanut butter, 2 sticks of butter, confectioner's sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract for crust and process until a ball of dough forms.
  4. Turn crust into a 9 X 13-inch pan and spread it smooth with a spatula.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes.



  1. In a medium sauce pan, stir together chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons of butter and 3  tablespoons of milk over low heat until the chocolate is melted.
  2. Pour the topping over the crust while it is still warm.
  3. Then chill and, when firm, cut into squares.
