Okonomi yaki

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 ounces roast pork cut in slivers
  • 10 large cabbage leaves, slivered
  • 1 cup dried shrimp
  • pinch of salt
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp oil
  • 4 Tbsp Worcerstershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp ketchup
  • powdered nori (aonori) or bonito flakes

Instructions

Mix flour, eggs, pork, cabbage, 1/2 the shrimp and salt until you have a smooth batter. Heat a small amt of oil on hot plate or frying pan and pour pancakes of the batter.Cook over medium-low for 5 minutes, or when edges start to bubble -- sprinkle more shrimp on uncooked side then flip over for about 2 min. Brush cooked side with sauces (try other sauces, too) and sprinkle w/nori or bonito flakes.
