Mushroom Bolognese Sauce

"Did you know Americans eat 4x as much meat as the rest of the world! Hold the beef. Try this alternative to bolognese sauce and veg it up with some mushrooms instead.Sources tell us that decreasing our meat consumption is good for the planet. For instance, it conserves water, reduces our carbon footprint, and more. Plus, eating less meat may be healthier in general! Try out this vegetarian meal that takes just 30 minutes to prepare!"

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Mushroom
  • 3 Celery Stalks
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  1. In a large, heated skillet, combine broccoli, cauliflower, and a little bit of water. Cover and allow to reach desired softness.

  2. Next, add bell peppers and mushrooms. Stir to combine ingredients, then top with liquid aminos. Season vegetables with garlic and ginger.

  3. If desired, add more liquid aminos at this time. When done, remove from heat and serve.
