Easy Baked Acorn Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 acorn squash
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven 325 degrees. Wash and dry acorn squash. Cut in half and remove seeds and strings. Place cut side down on a rimmed cookie sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven for 25 minutes. Turn halves up, and sprinkle each half with salt and pepper. Into each cavity put 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon butter, and a sprinkling of nutmeg. Bake cut side up for 15-20 minutes, or until flesh is tender and easily pierced with a toothpick. Serves 4.
