Minted Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

Combine and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Continue cooking until small amount in very cold water makes soft ball (like making candy). Remove from heat and add: 1 tsp essence of Peppermint (pure Peppermint Extract) 10 large marshmellows 3 cups walnut halves Stir in marshmellows until dissolved. Stir in uts until well coated. Pour onto waxed paper sheets. Separate while warm into small clusters. Makes 1 1/2 pounds of candy.
