Ingredients

  • 4 slice bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 head cabbage, cored and sliced or cubed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pinch white sugar
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes

Instructions

  1. Place bacon into a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Cook for about 5 minutes.

  3. Add cabbage, sugar, salt, pepper, water and crushed bouillon cubes to the pot; cook and stir the cabbage as it cooks.

  4. Cook until tender but still crispy.
