Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 16-ounce cans whole tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 Tbsp sugar to taste
  • 1 Tbsp flour or cornstarch mixed in a little water to thicken

Instructions

Cook bacon until almost crisp; drain the grease if there is a lot. To the reserved grease, saute the onions. Add the tomatoes to the pan, season with the salt and pepper and the sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes then add the flour mixture and cook until the gravy thickens. Serve over biscuits.
