Brown Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbs. grated ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • 1 tbs. plus 1 tsp. cider vinegar
  • 2 tbs. dry sherry or sake 3 tbs. cornstarch
  • dried red pepper, optional

Instructions

Combine all ingredients except cornstarch in a small bowl or large measuring cup. Place cornstarch in a separate bowl. whisk in liquid.
