Spicy Beef Pitas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. thinly sliced cooked roast beef
  • 1/2 c. picante sauce
  • 1/3 c. red-wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. snipped fresh cilantro
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 4 large pita bread rounds
  • Chopped tomato, avocado, green pepper
  • Feta cheese

Instructions

Place sliced beef in a plastic bag set inside a bowl. For marinade: In a medium bowl, combine picante vinegar, oil, cilantro, garlic, pepper. Pour marinade over beef. Seal bag; marinate inthe refrigerator for 4-24 hours, turning bag occasionally. To serve, drain and discard the marinade. fill each pita half with beef. Top with chopped vegetables and feta cheese.
