Indian Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 tblsp butter
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 1-2 slivers of cinnamon
  • pinch of saffron
  • salt

Instructions

Saute the rice in the butter for a couple of minutes. Add the water and spices and bring to a boil, cover and simmer 15 minutes. If you like, add a handful of frozen English peas.
