Hush Puppies
Ingredients
- 2 c self-rising corn meal
- 1 c flour
- 2 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 tablespoon shortening or salad oil
- 1 egg
- 1 c buttermilk
Instructions
Sift dry ingredients together. Add shortening, egg and buttermilk. Mix well Bake in greased baking dish at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
