Grandma's Banana Nut Bread

Banana nut bread is a delicious sweet bread recipe that has become a staple of many households. Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl combine bananas, sugar, eggs, vanilla and butter; beat until mixed well. Add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; beat until smooth and slightly thickened.

  3. Butter 4 mini loaf pans and pour batter in, filling of the way.

  4. Top with nuts and bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out of center clean. Cool on wire rack in pan for 10 minutes then remove from pans to complete cooling.
