Portuguese Kale Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 pound kale deveined and coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 pound chourico sausage
  • 14 0z can kidney beans
  • 1/4 cup salt pork diced.
  • 1 cup potatoes cubed
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 6 cup water

Instructions

Saute salt pork and onions.Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer covered for 1 hour. Smash some of the potatoes to thicken soup
