Baked Pork Roast Buffet

Why is this dish called a "buffet"? Because this awesome easy casserole recipe incorporates many different foods and flavors, much like you would find in a restaurant buffet. Pork roast is layered with apple slices, white potatoes and sauerkraut to create the amazing medley of flavors in this Baked Pork Roast Buffet. You've never had a casserole quite like this before. Ingredients

  • 1 boneless pork roast (chops, tenderloin or ribs)
  • 2 can Bavarian sauerkraut
  • 2 can whole white potatoes
  • 1 green apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 can beer
  • caraway seeds, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
     
  2. Brown the pork in a non-stick pan.
     
  3. In a large casserole dish, put pork and then apple slices. Layer potatoes and kraut on top.
     
  4. Pour can of beer over all and sprinkle caraway seed on last.
     
  5. Cover casserole and bake for 1 hour. If your pork is thick it may need to cook longer.
