Beet Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 quart water
  • 2 lbs. leftover ham with bone
  • 2 tb flour
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 can beets, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tb. sugar
  • 3 tb. vinegar
  • boiled potatoes

Instructions

Place ham and bone and 1 tsp. salt, bay leaf in pot with 3 quarts of water and cook for i hour. Let stand until cool. Blend well together in a blender beets, sour cream, sugar, flour and vinegar. add To cooled liquid. Bring to boil and thicken with flour. Serve with boiled potatoes, hard boiled eggs and slices of cooked fresh kielbasa.
