Sliced Bread Pizza

By: Mr Hughs Kitchen from mrhughskitchen.com

"Sliced bread made as pizza crust, with tomato sauce and banana ketchup spread, topped with usual pizza toppings, such as ham, mushrooms, bell pepper, onions, olives, cheese, and sausage. Pizza originated from Italy, that’s why pizza and pasta is a usual combo. The early pizzas were only made with flat bread, tomato sauce, cheese and some herbs, then cooked in brick or clay ovens. If you want to know more of the beginning of pizza, you can read on the history of pizza."

Ingredients

  • 4 slice bread
  • 1 cup Pineapple tidbits
  • 1 Bell pepper julienned
  • 1 small onions sliced
  • 1 ham chopped into small cubes
  • 1 hotdog sliced thinly
  • slice olives
  • Eden Cheese
  • Quickmelt Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese optional
  • 1/4 cup mushroom pieces and stem
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup banana ketchup
  • Dried oregano leaves
  1. Prepare the pizza ingredients. In a plate, put all the toppings for easy access. In a bowl, add the ketchup and tomato sauce, mix well. Add some dried oregano leaves, and mix again. Place the sliced bread on the oven pan.

  2. Add the pizza toppings. First, add a spoonful of the pizza sauce, and spread evenly on each of the sliced bread. Grate some cheese on top of each of the bread. Add the toppings evenly on each of the bread, then top with more cheese.

  3. Cook the sliced bread pizza (oven and pan procedure). Preheat the oven at 120 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes. Put the oven pan with the sliced bread pizza, and cook for 10 minutes. If you want a burnt cheese top, and toasted bread, just switch the heat to 180 for the one to two minutes. If you don’t have an oven, just preheat your pan under low fire for 5 minutes, then place the sliced bread pizza on the pan, then cover the pan. Let it cook under low fire for 7 to 10 minutes. Check after 5 minutes to see if you need to adjust the heat. If you want a soft pizza, maintain a very low fire. If you want a toasted doneness, just switch it to medium low fire for the last minute.

  4. Serve! Using a flat spatula, take out each sliced bread pizza, and put it on a serving plate. Enjoy while they’re hot!
