"The first ingredient needed for fish pie is canned fish. I’m not talking canned salmon (though you can use it in a pinch) but fresh caught fish, preserved in jars with a bit of vinegar, herbs, and tomato. In this recipe I outline how to do a basic preservation for an excess fish harvest AND how to bake it in a delicious pie. This Fish Pie makes an excellent lunch or brunch dish when paired with a side salad."
