The recipe is very adaptable. If your family is not a fan of ground turkey, just switch it to ground beef. The same goes for the veggies; green pepper is easy to find year-round at the grocery store. In the summer, I love using zucchini, peppers, or whatever is ripe in the garden. Just use what your family enjoys! Same goes for the pasta. I use penne because it soaks up the broth and tomato juices. But you can use whatever you have on hand, as long as it has a similar cooking time to penne. Both farfalle and rotini would work well."
