Wine Poached Pears

Ingredients

  • Microwave on High the wine, cinnomon, cloves, and sugar for 1 1/2
  • minutes. Place pears in baking dish. Pour heated liquid over
  • pears. Cover tightly and microwave on High for 12 minutes.

Instructions

1 cup Merlot or other red wine. 1 teas cinnamon. 2 whole cloves. 1/4 c sugar. The pears can sit until ready to serve. They stay warm for over 1 hour. Serve with cinnamon ice cream. Serves 4
