Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate pieces

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup and salt in a 1 1/2 quart glass bowl or casserole dish. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes.
     
  2. Stir in pecans. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring every 2 minutes.
     
  3. Add butter, vanilla and chocolate; stir until chocolate is melted.
     
  4. Pour mixture onto greased baking sheet, spreading as thin as possible, using 2 forks.
     
  5. Cool and break into small pieces.
