Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup old fashioned oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. 

  2. Combine meat, oats, vegetables, and egg in a large bowl; mix lightly.

  3. Shape meatloaf mixture into a 6x10-inch loaf on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  4. In a small bowl, combine catsup and bbq sauce. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

  5. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until meatloaf is to medium doneness (160 degrees F for beef, 170 degrees F for turkey), until not pink in center and juices show no pink color.

  6. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
