The Best Smoked Chicken

Ingredients

  • For the Chicken:
  • 4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 chicken divided to 2-4 parts depending on your liking
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Dipping Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Mix water with salt to make brine. Cover the chicken with brine and pop to refrigerator for at least 12 hours.

  2. After 12 hours pat dry chicken and place on preheated smoker to 225 degrees F. Smoke it for 45 minutes per pound.

  3. Mix apple cider vinegar with extra virgin olive oil and brush the chicken on both sides every 45 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, make dipping sauce - mix ketchup, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.

  5. After the chicken is well smoked serve it with dipping sauce or make sandwiches.
