Schinkennudeln (ham with Noodles)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound fresh egg noodles
  • 1/2 pound ham, diced
  • 8 ounce sour cream
  • 2 ounce grated Emmentaler
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Cook the noodles in salted water and drain. Fill a souffle dish with alternating layers of ham and noodles, salt lightly and put some of the sour cream and some grated cheese over each layer. The top layer should consist of noodles. Dot with little bits of butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake in a pre heated oven 350F, 180C, Gas Mark 4 for about 30 minutes.
