Homemade Chocolate Pudding Mix

Ingredients

  • 4 cup nonfat dry milk solids
  • 2 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 c. baking cocoa, (1 to 1 1/3)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

For Mix: Sift together all ingredients. Store in an airtight container or plastic bag. For Pudding: Combine 1 c. mix with milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly or do in Microwave, stirring occasionally. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into individual serving dishes. Can serve warm or chilled. For Pie: Can decrease milk by up to 1/4 cup. Follow directions for pudding. Cool slightly, pour into baked pie shell. NOTES : This makes 9 batches or 4 servings per batch.
