Easy Sweet Green Smoothie

"Sweet Green Smoothie is gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan. It's thick, icy, refreshing, and delicious. It's made with Arbonne Vanilla Protein Shake Mix which is a vegan protein powder. I slice, peel, and freeze banana's 24 hours ahead of time to ensure they are frozen which gives this smoothy a cold and refreshing taste. This recipe serves a family of 2-4 for breakfast or brunch. And, I prefer to use a Vitamix to blend the smoothie."

I prefer to use crushed ice and a frozen banana which yields a colder smoothie. I peel and slice the banana before freezing, and I freeze the bananas at least 24 hours ahead of time. Slicing the banana helps to ensure the smoothie blends easily. It's important to chop the apple into small pieces or it will be difficult to blend the smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 4 tablespoon protein mix
  • 2 tablespoon tahini
  • 6 dates
  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened unflavored almond milk
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 green apple
  1. Place ingredients in the blender in the following order: ice, frozen banana, protein powder, greens balance, tahini, dates, almond milk, fresh spinach, and green apple. Blend all ingredients in a blender on high, until creamy and smooth, about 1 minute.
